One thing I wanted to ask is how everyone is doing with their food bank challenge? Are you picking up a few things here and there?
Also, while you are planning your gardens, over at Hen and Harvest we are offering up a Garden Challenge to encourage everyone to plant an extra row of vegetables for their food bank. Check it out.

We are continuing to pick-up a few things each time we go to the grocery store, and the box is nearly full, but it’s really little more than a week’s worth of groceries for a family the size of mine … and nothing fresh, although I did add some flour and yeast to make bread
. I’m such a geek
.
Looking at the sad little amount of food, though, I can only hope that the saying, “Every little bit helps” is true.

Something is something. I like the idea of flour and yeast. Maybe you should tape a recipe to the flour so they’ll know what to do!

Ha! Great minds think alike …
. I had already planned to tape my “One Hour French Bread” recipe on the bag of flour. The bread uses five ingredients – one of which is water, and two of which are in the box
. Honey and salt are the other two. And it really does just take an hour, and it’s good bread.
